Background
I am one of the rare birds who was actually born and raised in Calgary, so I have seen the city traverse up's and downs, through boom and bust times; and I remember when the Palliser was the highest point downtown!
Over the last 7 years I have gained a realty experience that has educated me in the fluctuations of the unique Calgary economy and real estate market. I come from an entrepreneurial family with extensive real estate holdings throughout the city; therefore I am well acquainted with property and business opportunities.
Growing up I was a disciplined, motivated figure skater, ballet dancer and have always participated in a variety of other sports. At a young age I sunk my teeth into the competitive figure skating; from age 9, I competed nationally at the Canadian championship level until age 18. This level of discipline required focused commitment, creativity, ingenuity, determination and precise time management. To summarize; the experience taught me to trust in my abilities and work diligently to meet my goals.
After this phase of my life, I used my skills and passion to develop the top competitive Figure Skating Team in Canada, along with teaching competitive figure skating. The demands of a team perspective demand that you deal with many different personalities (both skaters and parents) to effectively guide them through a positive experience that they can take with them in their lives.
Having this back ground has inspired me immensely... dealing with people, being disciplined and competitive in negotiations. And I might add that I still enjoy fun times with clients, friends and family, because I make my experiences positive, fun and meaningful, both for myself and for those around me. I love developing relationships that last a lifetime.
Now I enjoy spending time with my two beautiful daughters as they become adults. We attend the Stamps and Flames games and enjoy their high level of competition. I am active and enjoy keeping fit and taking care of myself. After years of ice rinks and sports, I love to relax on a beautiful sunny beach with my toes in the rejuvenating sand.
