Calgary AB Resale Market Rebalances

Calgary stayed one of Canada’s fastest-growing cities in recent years, helping fuel strong resale demand before the earlier population boom began easing.
A new study suggested Calgary’s resale market had shifted into more subdued conditions, as demand and supply moved closer to balance overall.
For buyers and sellers, that balance meant pricing power was more even after the city came off high market peaks over the prior few years.
That easing in demand pressure brought better news for first-time buyers, with prices decreasing across Calgary and more newcomers starting to enter the market.
Conditions still varied by segment: single-family homes below $700K stayed scarce, while condos and townhomes saw more supply, giving buyers added negotiating power.
